Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist Scope of Practice

My certification allows me to cover four main areas of physical activity and lifestyle changes.

1. Screens and assesses my clients to ensure they are cleared for physical activity and to understand their baseline movement capabilities.

2. Designs safe, effective individualized strength and conditioning programs. This may include: breathing exercises, self myofascial release programs, mobility exercises, resistance training and cardiovascular exercise. Each program will include: Frequency, exercise selection, order of exercises, sets, reps, rest periods and tempo.

3.Suggests, and helps clients implement lifestyle modifications that will help them to improve their health and reach their goals. 

a. Monitors and adjusts clients physical activities and lifestyle modifications as needed.

4. Provides nutrition education and guidance

a. Educating clients about basic healthy food habits such as eating fruits and vegetables, or drinking water. 

b. Helps clients to incorporate consistent nutrition habits into their daily routine. 

c. Also helps clients to tune into hunger and satiety cues.

d. Invites clients to experiment eating different foods and paying attention to how they feel or perform.

e. Shares evidence based resources about nutrition and supplements.

f. Offers recipes or demonstrates food preparation techniques.

The menopause coaching specialist certification does not legally allow you to:

1. Diagnosis medical conditions

2. Prescribe diets or supplements to treat medical and clinical conditions
